We knew it was real. We knew it was coming, but we didn’t know when and where. Now that’s all changed, well sorta. The Xperia Play handheld which Joe Q. Public likes to refer to as the PlayStation Phone will be hitting retail this March and appears to be exclusive to Verizon, at least for the time being. As far as official specs go here is what you can expect from the first PlayStation certified smartphone: 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Adreno GPU, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) , 5-megapixel camera(LED flash), 8GB microSD, and stereo headphones. The Xperia Play will also come pre-loaded with Asphalt Adrenaline 6, Bruce Lee, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, Tetris, and will ship with an additional 50 titles at launch. So we know you’re completely sold, but there’s one catch, no exact date (just March for now) and no price yet. Be sure to check out the promo video, which will only further excite you.
