What Did You Think of Transformers 3?

Now that the holiday weekend has came and went, we wanna know your thoughts on Transformers: Dark of the Moon? Aside from the typical Michael Bay stuff: explosions, long action sequences, and shameless product placement, we thought the movie was pretty good. It gave us what we wanted and never tried to be something that it wasn’t. Now before we lose focus and end up turning this into a review, we’re just gonna get back to the question at hand, what did you think?

Faceoff: Captain America vs Omega Red

Call us super cheesy, call us patriotic, but right now Captain America vs Omega Red sounds fitting. Both were originally created to be super soldiers for their cause. Aside from their abilities, and moral differences, these guys are somewhat similar. So the question is who wins and a battle to the end? Remember Our Chimp Video? [Video]

We’ve received another viral video for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. This one showcases how advanced the chimp’s memory has become. It scares me, because I probably can’t remember what I had for lunch a couple of days ago, I kid, I kid. In any event Fox is really trying to push this one hard and we must admit, we’re digging their style. We’re being told more videos are on the way, so we’ll keep an eye on our inbox.

‘The Rocketeer’ as an Animated Short [Video]

The Rocketeer just celebrated its 20th anniversary a few days back, we feel old, how about you? In what can only be interpreted as a tribute, an animator by the name of John Banana and his team have put together a short. We must say the presentation is pretty nice and if this got the official nod from Disney for a straight to blu-ray release, we’d be all over this. Take a look at all the animated nostalgia after the break.

This Chimp Will Pwn You Like the Noob that You Are! [Video]

Okay, so this was dropped in our inbox by Fox’s PR group hyping up The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Call shenanigans, call it whatever you want, it’s just cool to watch. Hopefully the movie will have more of an entertainment value than Fox’s viral campaign. We’ve been promised more videos, so keep an eye out. In the meantime be sure to polish up your first-person shooter skills, because this guy is coming for you!

James Cameron Says ‘Avatar’ is Not a Trilogy, but a Three-Part Story Arc Instead

Are you excited about the Avatar sequels? We know we are! This is a highly anticipated trilogy depending on who you ask. If you ask James Cameron, it’s not a trilogy at all. In a talk with Fox News Mr. Cameron stated that he’s currently writing two scripts for a three-part story arc. He also went on to advise that they’re currently working on new software and animation techniques for the next two films.

Happy Father’s Day! Back to the Future Blu Ray Trilogy is $14.99 at Target

It’s a well known fact that we love a good Sci-Fi flick and that we’ve petitioned that the Back to the Future trilogy is arguably the greatest movie trilogy ever made. Sure Lord of the Rings is fantastic and some folks may argue that The Matrix set deserves the top spot (the third film was awful!). Argue all that you will, but we’re pretty sure that you’ll agree that nothing beats a great deal. Not too long ago we got word of Amazon selling the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary blu-ray box set for the low, low price of $25. That was a pretty epic win, but it was only for a day. This time around we’ve got something even better for you high-def movie buffs out there. The folks from Tarjay have gone mad and put the set on sale for $15! That’s five bucks a movie! This set is priced at around $80 at most retailers and makes a great Father’s Day gift to go with that new blu-ray player for dear old dad. Also take into consideration that some places do price match, so if you have a gift card or two lying around you might be able to score this set for even less. Don’t worry, you can thank us later.

Born This Way Done X-Men Style [Video]

We’ve seen some strange things, especially after walking the E3 showroom floor yesterday. Some stuff however is just in a class of its own. If you’re a fan of the X-Men and have seen the series of films, you might get a kick out of this parody. A chap by the name of Ryan from a YouTube group known as TheWarpZone has spoofed Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. You should also note, that if the video gets enough positive feedback, the group is up to make a full music video. So if you dig the song, be ready to spread the word. Acoustic video with lyrics after the break.

Great Scott! Back to the Future Blu Ray Set for $25

We’ve seen some sweet deals, but this one might take the cake! Back to the Future could very well be the greatest trilogy ever made and is what we consider a must own. We’re pretty sure you own the entire set on DVD and maybe even VHS, but did you make the jump to HD? Double dipping or triple dipping for box sets can get pricey and you’ve really gotta know how to find a deal when making such a move. Normally priced at around $80 the 25th anniversary blu ray set of Back to the Future is available for $25 at Amazon. Great Scott what a deal! Now we’re not sure how long this will last, so we suggest you act fast.
