Both of these dudes come from the Marvel Universe, but take residence in different sectors. Gambit is powerful and crafty mutant from the X-Men series. Venom is a psychotic extraterrestrial supervillain with a taste for chaos. So we’re asking if these two were to cross paths, who would come away with the win? Be sure to cast your vote and leave a comment.
Call us super cheesy, call us patriotic, but right now Captain America vs Omega Red sounds fitting. Both were originally created to be super soldiers for their cause. Aside from their abilities, and moral differences, these guys are somewhat similar. So the question is who wins and a battle to the end? Be sure to cast your vote and let us know what led to your decision.
We’re not too sure what Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man is all about. We do know that it features the Lizard (Rhys Ifans) as its headlining villain. We also know that Mary Jane Watson won’t be Spidey’s love interest and that we’ll see Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) instead. We’ve now got a few more set pictures that suggest Oscorp will play a part in the first installment of this series reboot. For those of you keeping score Oscorp is a corporation in the Spider-Man universe owned by Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin. Perhaps we’ll see a glimpse of what the future holds? In any event, take a look at the some of the set shots after the break.
The Avengers co-writer and director Joss Whedon has announced that shooting for the film begins April 25th. This gives them just a bit over a year to make the May 4th 2012 release date. This one sure is stacked up, check out the cast: Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man; Chris Hemsworth as Thor; Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye; Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill; Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson; Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig, Chris Evans as Captain America; Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury; and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. You can almost bet that next summer will also be the Summer of the Superhero.
You’ve read the title and we bet you’re excited, but you might be wondering, who the heck is Tim Miller? Well allow us to tell you. This dude has a very heroic background in visual effects. His resume includes: X-Men, X2, Daredevil, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World . Currently under the working title of: X-Men Origins: Deadpool, the film is a long ways away from shooting. However the pieces are slowly coming together. Ryan Reynolds is still set to star and the script is written by Zombieland guys Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Reynolds has recently expressed his interest in returning to the role, but said there were “many unknowns” in regards to the film itself. A first time director who knows how to make things look super should hopefully remove some of those “unknown” factors. As far as the film itself it is being said that the story picks up shortly after the events of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, with Deadpool free to speak and tells the tale of his road to becoming a mercenary and eventually a hero. Perhaps the reception of Green Lantern, will determine how soon we see Reynolds wearing red and black?
In an effort to keep things fresh, we decided to mix things up a bit. These two metal monsters should be a decent fight. The T-1000 is liquid metal and Wolverine is nearly an indestructible metal. Both of these guys are really dangerous and can do a lot of damage, but who gets the win? We’d love to know who’s got your vote and why.
After almost a decade of waiting, Marvel vs Capcom is now a trilogy! A lot has changed these past ten years. Arcades stateside have pretty much been replaced by powerhouse home consoles and gaming rigs. Even local competitive play has almost gone extinct thanks largely in part to online gaming. So the question is, can a true arcade classic with a next-gen face lift stand the test of time? Or has the market changed so much that there’s no room for a non shooter title to really make an impact in the online competitive gaming arena? Well, we’ve been playing Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and here’s what we’ve come up with.
Created by Patrick Boivin, ‘Black Widow Gone Wild‘ is a stop-motion short using an action figure with Scarlett Johansson’s likeness. This interesting film has the femme fatale taking on a host of opponents. You’ll see cameos from: Michael Jackson, Superman, Batman, Jack Bauer, Predator and Spider-Man, Whiplash, Rocky, and the T-1000. Hit the jump to see the video of this ‘Girl Gone Wild,’ hey we didn’t mean it that way, or did we?
Don’t let the size of the logos fool you, this is an interesting match here. We’re asking that you consider the entire video game series’ rosters and not just the current game. Both bring a lot to the table as far as interesting characters. Be sure to think this one through, leave a comment and cast your vote, and yes of course a full review is on the way for Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. If you’re a fan of the series feel free to make mention of your favorite three characters to use as your squad.
After countless set picture leaks Columbia Pictures has finally released some juicy info for Marc Webb’s 3D Spider-Man reboot, a name! We can now refer to the shooting film as ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘! They were also kind enough to release a new high quality image of what will most likely be plastered across movie theaters sooner or later. We’re really digging the name, it sure beats ‘Spider-Man 3D‘ and manages to remain loyal to the brand. Be sure to let us know what you think of the official name and the picture of Andrew Garfield draped in Spidey gear from head to toe. We’ll keep covering this film all the way up until it’s release date of July 3rd 2012.
