Gears of War 3 Leaked
Video games seem to hit the torrent scene a few to a couple of weeks before there street dates, but several months is a big deal! Recently torrent trackers have been packed with a unfinished build of the highly anticipated Gears of War 3. Microsoft’s security team has been working with law enforcement trying to sort things out. We’re gonna pitch a little warning to those of you who might be thinking about giving this one a go. Seeing how this is an internal pre-retail build of the game, we expect that they’ll be going all out in making an example out of people caught with this one.
Aaron Griffin aka Ice-T Gets Busy in Gears of War 3 [Video]
We enjoy a good Gears of War montage like anyone else, but this one holds a special place in our hearts. This minute long massacre features Aaron Griffin whom happens to be voiced by Ice-T. Yes we know ‘Ice Loves Coco,’ but apparently he loves kicking ass as well.

For example if you have the golden Lancer or Hammerburst from the second game, they’ll be available to you in the third game. Fergusson also hinted that there were other extras that will reward people who have played the previous games.

Rise of Nightmares Trailer Takes Kinect to the Grindhouse [Video]

When we first saw Kinect a couple of years ago we instantly wondered how first-person action would feel without a controller. In today’s age, everyone seems to associate first-person gaming with military-style shooters. It’s almost as if classic arcade rail shooters have been almost completely forgotten. So what happens when you take a Microsoft’s motion sensor and mix in a little grindhouse action? You walk away with something known as Rise of Nightmares, which reminds us a lot of House of the Dead. Don’t believe us? Take a look for yourself! Full video after the break.

Want an Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle? Have an obsessive urge to spend money on Amazon? Want $100 in Amazon credit? If you purchase a 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, you’ll get $100 credit added to your Amazon account within two days. Halo Anniversary to Have Kinect Support? [Rumor]

Microsoft Game Studios VP Phil Spencer did an E3 recap with GameSpot and dished about their future focus. Mr. Spencer went on to say that “Kinect will be important to all genres of games.” He then talked about the motion sensor’s integration with games like: Mass Effect 3, Forza, and Rise, but it didn’t end there. He also advised that Halo Anniversary will see some form of Kinect support. We’re not too sure how that will play out, but this might be a good thing. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, people who complain about Kinect not being “hardcore” enough tend to freak out when it gets added to mainstream titles. We feel this is the only way it can truly be maximized. Keep in mind Kinect support doesn’t mean mandatory Kinect use. You’ll still have the option to play with a traditional controller. We’re just wondering how they’ll go about adding this to a game like Halo. This also leads us to believe that Halo 4 will most likely get Kinect treatment as well.
The Duke Making a Special Return For Halo Fest

Hey there pilgrim! Are your hands too big for that small weakling the Xbox 360 calls a controller? Have no fear, the Duke is here! Well sorta here, more like for a special engagement. 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor has dished some details about the upcoming Halo Fest. 343 is trying to score some “OG Dukes” to rebuild for Xbox 360 support. The massive retro controllers will be used at Halo Fest to play Halo: Anniversary. If you’re one of the few who crave one of these monstrous handles, you’ll get a chance to put your bid in at a charity auction when everything is said and done. There is said to be about six of these brutes being made, so show up ready to bid! Honestly we’re not too sure why anyone would want to take a step back, but there is a nostalgic quality about retro gear.
Mass Effect 3 Gets a Release Date [Video]
Hopefully March 6th 2012 isn’t too far away for you, because that’s the official release date for Mass Effect 3. BioWare seems to really be pushing the envelope with this one. The game’s enormous presence is starting to develop its own gravitational pull. The latest trailer shows off a little combat, as well as new weapons. As excited as we are about this game, we can’t help but wonder how far will the Kinect play space be? All sarcasm aside we’re looking forward to taking on the role of Commander Shepard one more time.
Where are the Xbox 360 Fighting Game Exclusive Characters?

Just four days ago during their E3 keynote, Sony announced that inFAMOUS’ Cole would be appearing in Street Fighter X Tekken for both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game. Not too long ago Kratos from the God of War series was an exclusive character in the PS3 version of Mortal Kombat. Looking at the recent run of cross platform fighting titles, we can’t help but ask, where’s the Xbox exclusive characters? We know that exclusive characters have nothing to do with hardware limitations, they really come down to making deals with game developers. So has Microsoft forgotten the art of the deal?
